Yellow sits at the shoreline, feet hanging off of a small dock, fishing for some Pokémon. A gentle sea-breeze flows through the air, rippling the water. Off in the distance wingul and pelliper can be heard, along with other bird Pokémon. Yellow's eyes are lightly closed, relaxing in the sunlight, and enjoying the peacful moment. She is even dozing off here and there, only to re-awaken at each and every little tug on the fishing line.

She was supposed to be on her way back to Kanto, but she couldn't pass up the beautiful day for just traveling, so here she was enjoying what the day had to offer.

Two hours have passed since they got off the ship, and already Harold knew that look in Sneasel's eye. She wanted to steal something already, but the trainer wasn't so sure if they were ready yet. They're in a new region with no information at all. He couldn't even remember the name of the city they're at. If things go south, they would have to run out of town. Of course, that didn't stop the Sharp Claw Pokémon from tugging her trainer's finger, pointing to a dock with one person on it.

"You know what, fine," Harold said, sighing. "We'll grab something, but nothing important." Sneasel grinned, jumping up in the air in celebration. All he wanted to do was take a walk on the beach, and find somewhere to hide for the night. Yet, even he couldn't deny that he wanted to get back into the game, but it was too soon. Still, starting small wasn't such a bad idea, although he wasn't sure if it was a good plan to let Sneasel decide what's not important.

"Right, there's one person on the dock," Harold reported as they walked closer to it. "I'll be the distraction." Sneasel nodded, as her trainer bursted out into a sprint. He already had a plan in mind, which would not only have a huge chance of success, but if it did fail, Sneasel would get all of the blame. He ran onto the dock, but didn't stop. The only downside to his plan was the way he was to distract the victim. He didn't stop as he neared the end of the dock, and ran off of it, letting out a quick yelp as he fell into the water below.

Yellow's light dozing drifted away when she heard the thumping of footsteps on the dock. She turned to see who was running her way, and saw some guy sprinting by... directly into the water with a loud splash. Whatever Pokémon had been nibbeling the bait would now be long gone...

Yellow simply sat there watching, wide-eyed and mouth gaping, dumbfound. Was it just some boy who wanted to go swimming?

Harold could swim just fine, but he acted like he was drowning, occasionally kicking himself back up to the surface of the water to take in another breath. He needed to play the part as long as possible to give Sneasel enough time to grab something. In the meanwhile, he would have to grab everyone's attention so the Sharp Claw Pokémon can do her job.

"Someone, help me!" Harold called out, submerging his head in water again, and rose up again. "My leg, something's wrong with it!" He might not of been the best actor, but surely, he thought someone would fall for his trick. Meanwhile, Sneasel walked onto the docks, although with more stealth than her trainer. She waited for the perfect opportunity to steal something.

Yellow's exression was replaced by one of worry when she heard the man crying out for help. Quickly she pulled in her fishing line, and threw it directly to the drowning guy.

"Grab the line!" she yelled, hoping that she could hear her so that she would be able to pull him towards the dock.

Harold grinned as someone answered his call. He grabbed onto the line as instructed, holding onto it tightly. He needed to keep the act up as long as possible, which meant he would have to make it hard for him to be pulled closer to the dock. Again, he kept submerging his head underwater, pulling back against the line when he was submerged. This was just to make the effort harder for his supposed rescuer.

Sneasel, meanwhile, was hatching a plan of her own. A distraction was a good idea, but a better idea was to remove the person being distracted entirely. The Sharp Claw Pokémon walked behind the trainer trying to save Harold, crossing her arms. Thinking that the trainer would be too busy with Harold, she waited for the perfect opportunity.

Yellow struggled trying to pull the man over to the dock, however whenever he pulled back against her, she used to adapt fishing skills to use that to her advantage, the line would be nice and taught when that happens, so pulling in at that time would drag him through the water ever close, and reeling in as soon as she gave it slack to prevent him from floating away again. However he was heavy, and doing this only worked little by little even with as much effort as she put into it. It was a struggle all right... suddenly one pull caught her a bit off guard, and ended up pulling her forward herself, standing on her tip-toes, trying to stop from falling in herself.

Harold grinned, seeing the situation the fisher was in. He was somewhat surprised that he was pulled this far, despite his intentional resistance, but now, this was his chance. He pulled on the line as hard as he could, trying to pull the other trainer in the water. If confronted by this, he could probably lie his way out of trouble, as normal.

Sneasel also acted on the situation. Knowing that the trainer will fall with all of the belongings, she quickly jumped into action, literally. She jumped up, grabbing the trainer's hat with one of her claws. It wouldn't get a lot of money, but the Sharp Claw Pokémon just wanted to steal something for fun. As she landed on the dock again, she would give the trainer a quick push to help with Harold's pulling.

Yellow tried as best she could not to fall in, only vaguely feeling her hat slide off, thinking it just fell off, she didn't put any thought into it. Then suddenly she felt something push her off the dock.

"WHAA!" Yellow cried in suprise, as she plunged into the water herself. She broke the surface of the water, coughing a bit, and quickly looked back and forth between the Pokémon on the dock with her hat, and where she had last seen the guy drowning.

Where Harold failed, Sneasel succeeded. Making no attempt to continue the drowning act, he stared at the Sharp Claw Pokémon. She was now wearing the hat herself, even though Harold didn't like how it looked on her. She gave her trainer a grin, before walking away from the docks. He sighed, knowing that while his Pokémon wouldn't go solo, it would leave him to swim back to shore.

Part of him wanted to check in on the trainer who tried to fish him out, but he pushed those thoughts quickly aside. He was a thief, and had no time to care for the victims of his criminal acts. He needed to catch up to Sneasel before she ran off into the city. He started to swim towards the shore as fast as he could, not wanting to fall behind.

"Hey! My hat!" Yellow shouted as the sneasel started to walk off... She then turned her focus back on the other guy who had up until a second ago been "drowning". Now he was swimming perfectly fine back to the shoreline.

"Wait!" She called, throwing the fishing rod up onto the shore. In a split second idea, she tossed out something else along with it, a Poké Ball. Ratty the raticate stood up on the dock, released by it's Poké Ball.

"Catch up with the sneasel!" she shouted, while she herself followed behind the other person.

Harold sighed as the plan started to go downhill. The other trainer might be onto the plan, and was smart enough to focus on the true thief. Sneasel turned her head in time to see her throw a Poké Ball, releasing one of her Pokémon. He knew that the Sharp Claw Pokémon was smart enough to escape on her own, so he didn't bother shouting for her to run. Sneasel turned to her trainer, who was still swimming to shore, as she ran in the opposite direction of the Raticate, holding onto the stolen hat.

Meanwhile, Harold will have to figure out a way to convince the trainer he had nothing to do with the theft. To begin with, he needed to make his drowning sound true. While he was good of convincing people that he was telling the truth, he felt like that after swimming away, he needed a little edge. He ducked his head underwater, he opened his mouth, swallowing some of the water. He poked his head up right as he crawled onto shore, coughing up some of the water as if he actually was drowning in the first place.

Raticate scurried after the sneasel, although the sneasel was making good distence as the chase would progress. Soon they were out of sight.

Yellow reached the shore soon after Harold. Pulling herself up onto the sand, heavy drenched clothes hanging down, and her long ponytail now sticking too her cheek and dripping down onto the beach.

"Are you ok?" she asked Harold who she could see coughed up a bit of water. She turned to look where the Pokémon had ran, but didn't go after them until she knew what had happened.

Harold continued a fake cough again, trying to look for Sneasel. Unfortunately, he had no luck in finding her. Sneasel wasn't much of a fighter, but she could easily hide. He would need to pull out Gligar soon to help with the search, but right now, he needed to deal with the other trainer. No matter what, she couldn't figure out that he was helping the Sharp Claw Pokémon all along. He needed to continue with the act for now.

"I'm fine. My leg must of been caught in something," Harold quickly lied, standing back up. "So, sorry to hear that your hat was stolen." It was best to change the subject before she could question him about the drowning incident. He would remind himself to scold Sneasel later. All of this wasn't worth a bad looking hat. Still, he couldn't possibly return it now. He held back a sigh, realizing he had no clue on what to do with Sneasel now.

"Well, if you're ok, I'm going to go look for that Pokémon now..." She answered a bit hesitantly, still not liking the idea of just leaving him after almost just drowning... She sent out two more Pokémon, a tall three headed bird named Dody appeared from the first one, and a small electric mouse named Chuchu from the second.

Once Yellow climbed up onto Dody's back, Chuchu quickly joined her on her lap.

"Dody, Chuchu, we are going to be looking for a sneasel who has my hat, keep your eyes peeled"
